This page explains what cookies are, which cookies the Voltcortex website uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. We aim to keep this explanation clear and practical, without unnecessary technical jargon.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your language preference or whether you have already been shown a notice — so that it works sensibly the next time you return.

Cookies cannot run programs, carry viruses, or access files on your device. They simply hold a small amount of text that helps the site function or understand how it is being used.

On this website we use a limited selection of cookies, described below. You can choose which optional categories to allow using the controls on this page.

Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

Required for the website to function. These cannot be disabled.

  • cookieConsent — stores your cookie preference choices in your browser's local storage. Session-persistent.
  • Security tokens for form submissions to prevent misuse.

Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve content and navigation.

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) — tracks page views, session duration, and navigation paths. Persistent up to 2 years.
  • Aggregate, anonymised data only. No individual profiling for advertising purposes.
Optional

Marketing Cookies

Used by advertising platforms to show contextually relevant content to previous visitors.

  • Meta Pixel (fbq) — registers if a visit resulted from an ad, for attribution. Up to 90 days.
  • Microsoft Clarity / Bing UET — supports conversion tracking for Bing Ads campaigns.
Optional

Preference Cookies

Remember choices you make on the site to provide a more personalised experience on return visits.

  • Region and language settings — stored in local storage, no expiry until cleared.
  • UI state preferences such as collapsed sections. Persistent across sessions.

Your Cookie Preferences

Third-Party Services

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use for analytics and advertising measurement. These services have their own privacy policies that govern how they handle data:

  • Google Analytics & Ads — measurement of site usage and ad campaign performance. Data is processed under Google's privacy terms.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — conversion tracking for Meta ad campaigns. Subject to Meta's data policy.
  • Microsoft / Bing UET — tracking for Bing Ads conversions. Subject to Microsoft's privacy statement.

Voltcortex does not sell or share your personal data with advertisers beyond the attribution measurement described above.
